It is generally agreed, however, that self-esteem is me evaluative component of the self-concept. The purpose of this article is to review several self-esteem measures for school-age children, including both the self-report and rating types. Although some of these measures are labeled as self-concept, they are actually intended to measure the evaluative facet of the self.
